FINEST GRADED TOP POP! The apparent spots in L obverse field are NOT on the coin! They are artifacts from my poor camera skills. The coin itself is flawless. While there does exist a single numerically higher graded example, (a PR69 CAM that I had graded in the same submission), this coin nets A HIGHER SCORE in terms of Registry Set ranking owing to its unique DCAM designation. Also the PR69 CAM example was sticker declined at CAC. To put it another way, PCGS viewed both the PR69CAM and this PR68+DCAM virtually simultaneously (they are consecutively numbered) and awarded this coin a higher score. So PCGS, CAC, and myself all agree that this is the best example available. Putting this into perspective, this is the ONLY DCAM example of this variety ever graded by ANY TPG! It has been 12 years since this variety was first published in the Cherry Pickers Guide and in that 12 years no other coins have been awarded DCAM status. That qualifies for RARE in anyone’s book. In 2007 when John Albanese was starting up the Certified Acceptance Corporation, Mr. Albanese sought me out as a consultant to get his fledgling company off to a good start regarding the Full Bell Lines standards accepted by most Franklin collectors.
